"Catharae" has been a student to belly dancing since 1981, dancing professionally and teaching dance since 1991. She has taught classes for San Bernardino Valley College, San Bernardino Parks and Recreation Department, Suzanne's Dance Studio in Upland and Kindred Spirits. Her professional appearances include appearing for BellyGrams, Etc., Tonya and Atlantis' Belly Dance Showcase, the Marriott in Palm Desert, and numerous local clubs and private parties.  In her words, "I feel the dance requires a degree of perfection in execution of the movements, but, even more, it is the expression of the inner dancer. This dance form is first performed for the dancer, the movements showing how she feels about herself. She then shares herself with others. I believe that we must balance our lives by mixing and blending needs; work that feeds the bank book and work that feeds the soul.
