Spiritdancer has been studying the art form of dance for over 20 years. She respects all forms of dance, considering Belly dance to be the height of the art form. In addition to Belly dance, including the African diaspora of Afro-Haitian and Caribbean dance (predominantly Congolese, Mapouka and Coupe Decale styles) She has studied and practiced other forms such as Jazz, Lyrical, Modern/Contemporary, Classical Ballet, K.R.U.M.P., Breaking, Hip-Hop, Drill, Tap Percussion, West African, Hula, Native American Tribal, Ballet Folklorico, and Tarantella.

Although she has been heavily influenced by a particular style of Contemporary Callinetic muscle control, she has also vastly studied and enjoyed North and East African styles of Belly dance. Spirit's most recent genres of study are Egyptian, American Cabaret, and ITS Belly dance training. The divine gift of her own unique form of SPIRITDANZER Fusion Bellydance, is testament to this diverse dance background.

Spiritdancer continues to study and enhance her knowledge of the art form. Her innate talent and the training of her talented mentors have given her a great mode of employ concerning dance and movement. Witness to this are the exceptional performances she provides. They awaken the soul and really are not to be missed. She seeks to move the emotions in a life-changing way. A true professional performing artist, Spirit is a California Arts Scholar Medal Awardee.

She began performing professionally in 1992. Spirit serves the community as a professional belly dancer, choreographer, dance instructor, and instructor of other fine visual and performing arts in and around the Sacramento area. She is a certified artist/instructor for an exclusive pool of artists for the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission, and also teaches workshops when requested.

Spiritdancer teaches as a means of healing in Rancho Cordova, Citrus Heights, and surrounding Sacramento, CA with separate classes for children and adults of various levels. She believes that every man or woman has the right and potential to be truly balanced, joyful and explosively ALIVE through holistic movement and positive thought.

Group and private classes in SPIRITDANZER Fusion Belly dance - teaches a fusion of different disciplines of Belly dance, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary, Stretch, Lyrical, Classical Ballet, Hip-Hop, KRUMP and more.

Fusion Belly Dance ~ This dance style mixes two or more recognizable traditions, themes, costuming, or music used to construct the dance performance. Course work consists of dance and music history, ancient to modern cultural context, mode of employ/technique, callinetic muscle isolation, Katherine Dunham breathing technique, posture, choreography, flexibility and strength training. Empower yourself by learning to Belly dance in a fun and supportive atmosphere. With over a decade of Spirit's curriculum inspiring visual and performing arts creation, Spirit'ss students glow with confidence. Everyone is welcome in class regardless of ability or dance background.
