Marlena has been studying Raqs Sharki for several years in the Southern California area.  She studied with many prominent master instructors and has developed her own joyful and playful style. Marlena's passion is Egyptian style including Raqs Assaya and dancing with a Shamadan. Her experience with performing for Egyptian, Arab, East Indian and Persian audiences as well as Americans proves that she can entertain and bring smiles to just about any occasion, from the youngest child to the eldest grandparents. PARTIES: Marlena has many repeat clients and has performed for several family parties, including weddings, birthday parties, etc. You can hire Marlena for an event either in the home, business, restaurant setting, or hotel banquet room. CLASSES: Marlena is also a bellydance instructor in Santa Ana, Westminster and Anaheim, California. Her student performing group "Troupe Raihaanah" has performed at several belly dance events in L.A. and Orange County. Marlena's teaching style is a reflection of her love of the Egyptian music and admiration of the legendary dancers like Tahia Carioca.
